Evaporator Section in HRSG Boiler
Observation : Severe corrosion on side of tub facing gas
turbine/duct burners
Cause : Multiple under deposit corrosion mechanisms
including caustic gouging, phosphate attack, and hydrogen
damage
Remarks : Corrosion caused by a combination of
pre-construction deposits, poor chemistry control, and high
heat flux from duct burners.
